Yue Lingsheng

Yue Lingsheng (1871-1937), whose original name was Frank Rawlinson, was a famous British priest in China.

He was born in a traditional religious family in Britain and later emigrated to the United States study theology there. In 1902 he got the American nationality, and came to Shanghai to begin his missionary work.

In the period from 1911 to 1937 he served as the leader of English magazine Educational Administration. This was also his main engagement in China. He died in the war between China and Japan in 1937. His important works included Naturalization of Christianity in China and Western Money and Chinese Churches.
