Wang Yuanshen

Wang Yuanshen (1817-1914) was the earliest preacher of Chinese Christianism.

He was born in Guangdong Province. When he was a little child, he lost his father. He began to do business but failed at last. Later he went to Hong Kong and got to know Christianism. In 1847, he was baptized and became a member of Chinese Union. His activity was mainly in Guangdong Province.

His main works include the Record of Doxy, a rare book on early Chinese Christianism.
