He Jinshan

He Jinshan (1817-1871) was the second priest of Chinese Christianism.

He was born in Nanhai, Guangdong Province, and lived in Malacca with his father, who was a printing worker and later went to a school founded by London Missionary Church.

In 1843, he came to Hong Kong to begin his missionary work. He Jinshan was the second Chinese who got the priest qualification. When he presided over a ceremony in church located in Guangdong in 1870, some local people set fire to the church. He escaped but was scared. In 1871, he died in Guangzhou.

During his over 20 years of missionary work, he left many religious works.
